Hi @Doris2025

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It’s possible that a driver update could resolve the issue, but there are a few other steps you can try to address the slow or non-functional printing on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w.

Here's a comprehensive guide:

1. Update Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model compatible with Windows 11.
  • Install the drivers and restart your computer to see if the issue improves.

2. Check Print Settings

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Printing Preferences.
  • Ensure the print quality is set to Draft or Normal instead of Best, as higher quality settings can slow down printing.

3. Clear Print Queue

  • Open the Print Queue by clicking on the printer icon in the system tray.
  • Cancel all pending print jobs and try printing a new document.

4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

5. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Firmware updates can resolve bugs and improve performance. Visit the HP Support website to check for and install the latest firmware for your printer.

6. Inspect Network Connection

  • If you're using the printer wirelessly, ensure it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • Restart your router and printer to refresh the connection.

7. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in, turn it on, and try printing again.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
