HP Officejet Pro 8610
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

My HP Officejet Pro 8610 keeps giving me the error message, "connect printer to update HP Instant Ink status" even though the printer is connected to the internet (solid blue light). I'm using a Mac OSX (v.10.11.6). I've deleted and re-added the printer in Printers & Scanners in system preferences. I've unplugged the printer and waited a minute before plugging back in. I've reset my Mac. I've reset my printing system under Printers & Scanners and re-added my printers. I've emptied the cache on Safari, but it still says printer is offline on my HP Instant Ink account.

When I try to print a document, the above error message appears, and I press "connect." It prints the doc while trying to connect, only to return to the error message.
