@johnslmachray, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
To resolve the issue of not being able to save scanned images from your HP Envy 6020e printer, follow these steps:
Check Software and Drivers:
- Ensure you have the latest HP software and drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest version from the HP Support website.
Use HP Smart App:
- If you are using the HP Smart app, make sure to follow the proper steps:
- Open the HP Smart app on your device.
- Select "Scan" from the app menu.
- After scanning, select the "Save" option, and choose your desired file format (such as PDF or JPEG) and location.
File Destination:
- Confirm that the destination folder you are trying to save the image to is accessible and writable. Ensure there are no permission issues preventing saving to that location.
Check Settings:
- Review the settings in your scanning application or HP Smart app to ensure the correct options are selected for saving scanned documents.
Storage Space:
- Ensure your computer has enough storage space available to save the scanned files.
Try Another Application:
- If the HP Smart app does not resolve the issue, try using another scanning application such as Windows Fax and Scan to see if the problem persists.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
