Hello! I have a tango X printer, and it will not print photos (or anything from Adobe) in color. I have unchecked the "print in gray scale" but it still doesn't come out in color. I have the latest OS updates and there's more than enough color ink in it.

Change print settings on your Mac from the app you are printing from.
-
Open a document, photo, or webpage, click File > Print to open the Print window.
-
Make sure your printer is selected, and then click Show Details if it displays to access the print settings available for your printer.
-
Click the drop-down menu in the center of the window to change the settings category and access all available settings.
-
Color or black and white:remove the selection from Black & White on the main dialog. The Presets menu also includes color and black and white options.
-
If the issue persists, add the Air Print printer to the Mac printer queue
Confirm you are using Air Print by adding the printer in System Preferences.
- Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
- Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps.
- If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for Air Print. Click the printer name, click the minus sign "-" to delete the printer, click the plus sign "+"click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.
- If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, and then continue to the next step.
- Confirm Air Print or Secure Air Print displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.
- Open a document or photo, click File, and then click Print.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi @maddiemp12,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand you are unable to print photos in color.
To assist better-
1) Are you able to make color copies?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -
-
Load plain white paper in the tray.
-
Print the report.
-
Printers with a touchscreen or menus: On the printer, open the Settings
or Setup menu, touch Tools or Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report or similar.
-
Printers without a touchscreen or menus: Go to 123.hp.com or your app store to install the HP Smart app. Click the picture of your printer on the home screen to open printer management options that include the report.
-
Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer - Print Quality Issues

I have not tried copying in different colors. I am printing from a Mac, and I have tried from my phone and other pieces of software, but to no avail.
Here is a link to the diagnostic: https://ibb.co/0jng4q3

I am unable to view the image in the link shared.
Try the single-cartridge mode
The printer you own can work in single-cartridge mode, wherein the printer will be able to print with one cartridge in the printer. Which will help us identify if its a cartridge issue or a printhead issue
To try single-cartridge mode follow the below steps:
- remove the black ink from the printer, leave the color in and try printing
- then remove the color ink, insert the black in and try printing
Let me know how this goes!

Hi! I do not see an option for black and white printing in the main dialog box or the presets. Can you be more specific with your screenshots in case I am missing something?
In addition, I did remove the printer and added it again, but I didn't see an option for air print or secure air print in the print using menu.

I have inserted images to help you add the printer with airprint drivers.
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add. Select AirPrint from the Use menu.
6.) Try to print.
Let me know how this goes!
