Welcome to the HP support community.
Which operating system is installed on the computer to which this printer is connected?

Welcome to the HP support community.
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install printer full feature driver

Hi Sandy,
I undertook your suggestions, at the stage of Open Devices and Printers I went to Settings, Printers and Scanners then uninstall my 5032 printer, then restated the laptop followed by clicking the link you gave me to download the driver.
My original fault message has disappeared but when attempting to print a PDF file I'm getting a local print spooler service is not running, I've tried deleting items in my queue but it keeps error reappearing.
p.s. I've successfully printed from my I-phone yesterday
I've got another support message I've not read but is there anything more I could try.
regards

Hi Sandy,
My current laptop, purchased in January 2020 is a Lenovo IdeaPad S340, running a Windows 10 Home (build 19041.388?)
I did notice that it had a update on the 23rd this month did this have an impact?
As I indicated previously the old error message 0x800700e disappeared after following your suggestions but then a local printer spooler error message popped up when attempting to print and I was unable to clear print queue, I googled this but one of the web solutions didn't work. I then found that I could print off my phone which seem to suggest it was Windows??
Finally trying the HP diagnostics via virtual assistance again and without really understanding how the fault disappeared and I'm now printing again so its fingers crossed, and I'm hoping with your assistance I'm now back on track, fingers crossed.
