Hi @SLYGUY1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access Printer Web Interface:

  • Open a web browser on a computer connected to the same network as your printer.
  • Enter the printer's IP address into the address bar. You can find the IP address by tapping on the wireless icon on the printer's control panel.
  • If required, log in using the administrator credentials. By default, there may not be a username or password set. If it has been changed previously, you will need to enter the current credentials.
  • Once inside the printer’s web interface, go to the Network or Networking tab commonly found in the top menu.
  • Find Proxy Settings under the networking options. This could be under Advanced Settings or similar sections depending on your specific printer's interface version.
  • Input the required proxy details as provided by your network administrator:
    • Proxy Server: (e.g., proxy.example.com)
    • Port: (e.g., 8080)
    • Username: Your network username, if proxy requires authentication.
    • Password: Your password for the proxy server authentication.
  • Save and apply the changes once you have entered all the necessary details.

Steps on the Printer Control Panel

You can also change proxy settings from the printer control panel itself:

  • Touch the Setup or Settings option (gear icon).
  • Go to Network settings.
  • Select Proxy Settings.
  • Input the proxy server address, port, username, and password.
  • Confirm and save the changes.

I hope this helps.
