The info light is supposed to be ON by default. If you are able to print fine, there is no issue with the printer.

The printer gets confused if both the bands have the same SSID and hence it is recommended to rename them. It is your choice.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

@KChichester, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the printer wireless report says the printer is not connected to the internet.

To assist you better, are you able to print from your computer?

Check the printer status on the HP Smart app.

Have you connect the printer to a personal wireless router?

  • Restart the router, the printer, and the PC
  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

I am able to print and have connected it to a personal router. Not sure if it is dual band or not. It was provied by my ISP. I am guessing I will just have to live with the light on since I am not calling AT&T to get the networks renamed.
