Hi @Shawnml91,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the filtering error and connect your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer to your new TP-Link router, follow these steps.
Access Printer's Control Panel:
- Turn on the printer and go to the printer's Control Panel (the touchscreen interface).
Open the Wireless Settings:
- From the home screen, tap on the Wi-Fi icon (the wireless signal icon).
- Select Settings or Network Settings.
Disable MAC Address Filtering (if applicable):
- If your router uses MAC address filtering, make sure your printer's MAC address is added to the allowed list on the router. Alternatively, disable MAC address filtering on the router if you want to avoid this issue.
- To find your printer's MAC address:
- Tap on Wireless Settings > Wi-Fi Direct or Print Network Configuration.
- The printer’s MAC address will be listed in the printed configuration sheet.
- To find your printer's MAC address:
Connect to Wi-Fi:
- After disabling MAC filtering on your router (or adding the printer’s MAC address), return to the printer’s wireless settings.
- Select your new TP-Link network from the available list.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password if required and connect.
Restart Router and Printer:
- If necessary, restart both the TP-Link router and your printer to ensure a fresh connection.
These steps should resolve the filtering error and allow your printer to connect to your new network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
