Xfinity upgraded my modem. My MAC computer can no longer find the printer. I went though wireless setup wizard on the HP touch screen, and it found my wifi by the correct name. I entered the password. It could not connect to my wifi, so I printed out the report, which said "Your HP printer is unable to connect to your wireless router. MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup."
That's silly - I don't have MAC address filtering on - as my computer, two iPads, 2 iPhones, mac air, 2 ROKU's and other devices have no trouble connecting. Only the HP printer fails to connect.

Hi @neveranull,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties connecting your HP printer to your new Xfinity Wi-Fi router. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Restart all devices: Power off your HP printer, Xfinity router, and any other devices connected to your network (computers, smartphones, etc.). Wait for a few minutes, then power them back on one by one, starting with the router.
- Ensure Wi-Fi compatibility: Check if your HP printer is compatible with the Wi-Fi network frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) supported by your new Xfinity router. If your printer only supports 2.4 GHz, ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz signal.
- Check Wi-Fi settings: Access the router's configuration page by typing its IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1) into a web browser. Once there, ensure that the wireless network settings (SSID, password, security type) are correctly configured and match the information you used previously to connect your printer.
- Reconnect printer to Wi-Fi: On your HP printer's control panel, navigate to the network or wireless settings menu. Select the option to connect to a new Wi-Fi network and follow the on-screen instructions to enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
- Update printer firmware: Visit HP's official website and search for the support page of your specific printer model. Check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer, as outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues. If updates are available, follow the instructions provided to update your printer's firmware.
- Reset printer network settings: As a last resort, you can try resetting the network settings on your HP printer. Refer to the printer's user manual or HP's support documentation to find the instructions for performing a network reset. After resetting, go through the printer setup process again and attempt to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
