I also cannot connect to new router. Printer is HP Officejet Pro 8620. Router is Verizon M2100-F918 hotspot 5G but mostly operates 4G. Printer is able to connect to old Verizon hotspot

@pbarnett

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

A mobile hotspot does not have much bandwidth to support printer communication, So it is not recommended to connect your printer using the mobile hotspot.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Your responses are taking forever, in the meantime I'm unable to use my printer. How can this be resolved please?

Hi, yes the blue light is constantly blinking and 2.5 and 5 is enabled in the router which is very close 10 ft away. I'm printing from my phone.

Thanks Marsha

@Marsha02

let's prepare your printer for a wireless connection, and restart the printer, computer, and router.

  • Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
  • Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
  • Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
  • Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
  • Turn on the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
