HP Envy 5530  (supported by Windows 11)

New PC with Windows 11.  Cannot print from any website (Edge or Chrome) or **bleep**.  I can print a Word document.

Whenever I click on the "print" button from a website or **bleep**, the printer icon pops up but says 0 jobs pending.

Anyone able to solve this problem?

@dixiekaye, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It appears you're experiencing printing issues with your HP ENVY 5530 printer when using browsers like Edge or Chrome on a new PC running Windows 11. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your PC, either via USB or over the same wireless network.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the HP website or use the HP Support Assistant to check for the latest drivers compatible with Windows 11.
  • Ensure your printer's software is up to date.

Verify Printer Status:

  • Open the Devices and Printers section in Windows to make sure the HP ENVY 5530 is set as the default printer.

Install Printer Software:

  • Ensure that you've installed any necessary printer software for functionalities beyond just the drivers.

Check Browser Settings:

  • Clear the cache and cookies of your browsers to ensure there's no corrupt data that might be interrupting the print command.
  • Confirm that the browser is allowed to send print commands to the printer.

Adjust Printer Settings:

  • Under the printer’s properties, ensure there are no restrictions or specific settings that prevent printing from browsers.

Disable Extensions:

  • Some browser extensions can interfere with printing; try disabling them temporarily to see if printing is restored.

Print from Different Applications:

  • Test printing from different applications to see if the issue is isolated to browsers.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your PC and printer to see if the issue resolves after a fresh start.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Check if there are any error messages or notifications when attempting to print that might guide you to the problem's source.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
