Hi @Sue1113.
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To print on card stock from your HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One printer using your iPhone, follow these steps.
Prepare Your Printer and Card Stock
- Load the card stock: Ensure the card stock is placed correctly in the printer’s paper tray. Most printers work best when card stock is loaded into the main tray, facing up, with the short edge first. Make sure it's not too thick to cause jams (usually 80-110 lb card stock is suitable for most home printers).
- Adjust the paper tray: If your printer has an adjustable paper tray, move the paper guides to fit the size of the card stock.
Set Up Your iPhone for Printing
- Ensure you're connected to the printer: Your iPhone needs to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your printer. Ensure the HP Officejet 4630 is connected to your Wi-Fi and ready to print.
- Download the HP Smart app (if you haven’t already):
- Go to the App Store and search for “HP Smart.”
- Install and open the app.
- If it’s your first time using the app, you’ll need to add your printer. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to the app.
Select the Correct Paper Type in the Print Settings
- Open the document you want to print on your iPhone (from your email, iCloud, or a downloaded file).
- Tap the share icon (a square with an arrow) in the app you're using to view the document.
- Select "Print" from the share options.
- Choose your HP Officejet 4630 printer from the list of available printers.
- Adjust the print settings:
- Tap "Options" or "More Options" to find paper settings.
- Choose "Card Stock" or the paper type that matches your card stock (if available). If not, you can select "Plain Paper" but ensure you manually set the paper type via the printer's control panel or via the app settings.
Print the Document
- Once all settings are configured, tap Print to begin printing.
- If you're printing a large or complex document, keep an eye on the printer to ensure there are no paper jams.
Note:
- Check paper weight: Some card stocks may be too thick for your printer. If you encounter paper jams, check your printer’s specifications to ensure compatibility.
- Use manual feed: If your printer supports it, use the manual feed tray for thicker papers.
- Test with a single sheet: If you're unsure about the paper type or weight, start by testing with one sheet to see how it feeds through the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
