After changing from BT copper to BT fibre with Smart Hub 2 the HP Envy 5530 printer often not connected to PC when scanning or printing, although constant blue light on. From touchscreen settings found router and using Wizard tried to reconnect - sometimes worked but if not turning printer off and on again did. Now after doing the same it says connected but when I try to scan it says no computer found. Nothing changed so do not know why it has stopped connec
Have tried restoring default settings and using Wizard again - no luck and turning printer off/on and PC/router off/on etc - no luck again. I am not sure about uninstalling and adding printer again. Also know nothing about drivers, so do not know if I have to install printer again using disc that came with it or some other way.
Finally if all else fails there is a USB socket on the router and a square one on the back of the printer - could I connect with a cable instead of wi-fi. Would have to move printer each time I needed to print but at least it would work.
Could I please have some advice on this as other people seem to have had similar problems.
