Hi @Ray1042,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer to Wi-Fi, you'll need the Wi-Fi network password rather than a password specific to the printer itself.
Here’s how you can find and enter the necessary Wi-Fi password:
Steps to Connect Your Printer to Wi-Fi
Find Your Wi-Fi Password:
- Check Your Router: Often, the default Wi-Fi password is printed on a label on the router itself.
- Use a Device Connected to the Wi-Fi: You can check the Wi-Fi password on a device (like a computer or smartphone) already connected to the network:
- Windows:
- Open Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Click on Network and Sharing Center.
- Click on your Wi-Fi network name.
- Click on Wireless Properties > Security tab, and check Show characters to reveal the password.
- Mac:
- Open System Preferences > Network.
- Select Wi-Fi and then click on Advanced.
- Find your network name, and you can view the password if you check the box for Show password (you may need to enter your Mac’s admin password).
- Windows:
Prepare the Printer:
- Ensure that your printer is turned on and in a ready state.
Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- On the printer control panel, navigate to the Setup menu (the gear icon).
- Select Network or Wireless Settings.
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard. The printer will search for available networks.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted, and confirm.
Install the HP Smart App (optional but recommended):
- Download the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store, Apple App Store, or HP's website.
- Open the app and follow the prompts to add your printer. It will guide you through the connection process.
