My Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182n printer is not printing through Wi-Fi or through Ethernet. It only works with a USB connection to my desktop. I have tried to connect ethernet and disconnect USB, but HP Smart App is not able to connect to the printer. The ethernet wire is showing a green light so I think it is connected properly.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
This is not a wireless model. Hence you cannot connect it wireless. HP Smart app works only on wireless models.
You need to purchase HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw which is a wireless model.
You may follow the steps in the weblink to connect via ethernet cable.
