Microsoft Windows 11

I recently got a new wireless system (AT&T Air), and I cannot connect my computer to my printer (HP Officejet 4630 e All-in-one Series). I'd appreciate any advice!

Hi @jlc69,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you reconnect your HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One printer to your new AT&T Air wireless network using Windows 11:

1. Restore Network Settings on the Printer

This clears old Wi-Fi settings so you can start fresh.

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless icon or navigate to:
    • Setup (gear icon) > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults
  • Confirm the reset. The wireless light should blink—this means it’s ready for setup.

2. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

You’ll now set it up on the new AT&T Air network.

✴️ Method A: Use the Printer’s Control Panel

  • Go to: Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard
  • Select your AT&T Air Wi-Fi network
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password (case-sensitive)
  • Confirm connection — the wireless icon should stay solid when successful.

✴️ Method B: Use the HP Smart App (if the control panel is limited)

3. Reinstall the Printer on Your PC

Once the printer is back on the network:

  • Press Windows + I > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
  • Click Add device and select your printer
  • If it doesn't show, click Add manually, and select "Add a printer using a TCP/IP address"
    • You can find the printer’s IP by printing a Network Configuration Page from the printer’s settings.

Test the Connection

Open a document and try to print. If it doesn’t print:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  • Right-click your HP printer > Set as default

Make sure the printer is “Online” and not paused

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
