Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can print via my WIFI on my Deskjet 2740. But in order to order Ink, I need to be able to access the Web Services. This doesn't work. I always get the message that I can't connect to the Web Services. By now everything is off, like firewalls. Also the scan & print doctor already tried it. I got an e-mail address from my DHCP (192.168.x.x), and my DNS is now at 8.8.8.8. Ik can reach mij Deskjet via the IP number, and I can enter his own WebInterface. But when I go to the Webservices tab (and enter my PIN), the message " Network problem. A network problem occurred while the printer was trying to connect to the Webservices server. Click "Troubleshoot" to diagnose the problem or click "Close" to solve the problem later." Appears.

Who can help me out?

Kirsten

Hi,

I have just resolved the problem by adjusting the network settings as follows:

  1. Use manual IP address instead of Automatic

  2. Use Google's DNS servers 8.8.8.8 for primary, 8.8.4.4 for alternate.

These instructions were taken from https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/Web-Services-problem-Server...

Hope it can help you.

Regards

Eldar.

Unfortunately, neither is this working. But thanks for thinking along

My full activity list was:

1. Deactivated web services on the printer in the settings menu

2. Switched off and on the printer

3. Did the network adjustments described earlier

4. Activated web services - After that I have got an activation sheet printed.

5. Logged into my Instant Ink web account and reconnected printer by entering the code from the activation sheet.

I cannot deactivate the web services. I've no access to this tab. When I enter this tab the message pop up 'Webservice Setup in Progress' , click refresh for the current status. When I do so the message appear that there is a network problem (by trying to connect to the web services). Tries alternative DNS adresses in the printer and in my router. restarted everything.  Print&scan docter doesn't see any problem.

Does your printer have Web interface? If yes, you can try to deactivate (remove) web services from there.
