LJ MFP1136
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

All along, I have been using a USB cable from my laptop to print from my HP MFP LaserJet printer (LJ MFP1136). However, now I get an error message saying "Device Not Recognized". It looks like I get this message due to a loose cable connection into my USB port.

I am therefore now trying to see if I can print wirelessly but don't know how to set up my printer correctly to be able to also connect wirelessly from my laptop.

Could you please help with specific steps?

Thank you

Hi,

This is not a network enabled printer, it only offers a direct USB connectivity and not any netowrk connectivit, you may find its Connectivity section within its specs below:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laserjet-pro-m1136-multifunction-printer-series/5094778/mode...

What do you mean by a loose cable connection into  your USB port? do you refer to the printer, computer or the USB cable itself?

Have you tried another USB cable to check if you may see any difference then?
