Hi, after years of usage my printer did not connect with app HP smart. Every try to reset the printer and log in again ended with incomplete set-up and failure code EBS00P0013. I terminated the contract for smart printing, sent back the cartridges, bought new ones and now, after end of contract I still face the same issue. No app, support page or anything else helped, I always end up at the same page.
Please advise how to use my printer again. Thanks.

You may have two problems
1 - Print directly to the printer and avoid the modem
You may need to reset the printer: video here

2 - The ink needs to be genuine and you cannot use any Instant Ink cartridges.
To check if an HP ink cartridge is genuine, look for a security label on the cartridge, scan the QR code on the label with your phone, and then go to HP's website hp.com/go/ok to verify the serial number on the label; if the label appears tampered or the serial number doesn't validate, the cartridge is likely not genuine.
Non HP ink can be used on this list of HP printers.

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately, several resets did not work, every time the printer tells me set-up incomplete, I need an account (which I have) and have to finish online. In the app always the same failure mode as in the headline appears, nothing more.
WI-FI DIRECT led to the same failure mode.
I have tested and use original HP ink.
I guess anywhere in the software of the printer is a connection to INSTANT INK that has to be removed.
Any idea how to?
I tried, but there is no update available.

Does Germany have something like This in USA or This in UK ?
If so, give me the URL so I can make a note of it.
if you just canceled recently, the contract is good till the end of the month or so I have been told. Possibly you need to wait till the end to use other types of ink. Just guessing.

I do not have an instant ink printer. My understanding is that if you run out of ink, or you cancel your subscription, you can use genuine Hewlett Packard cartridges either original or refilled. They must have an HP chip in the cartridge.
The below type is unlikely to work.
Instant ink cartridges can only be used when the ink subscription is active.

While HP Instant Ink printers can be used with no subscription, select HP Plus printers may require a subscription to operate.

Thanks a lot for your answer.
Unfortunately, nothing worked.
Today I had a call with the HP support and the solution is to activate web services.
Every hint to web services is to activate them directly on the printer.
I couldn't do it on my own, because the printer did not show on the screen. We had to do it online on the printer's side.
This is due to the age of the printer.
