Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Help needed please.  I have a HP Envy 4504 that has been connected for years to my WiFi and Windows 10 PC plus all the Apple products in the house.  It used to frequently play up saying it was offline, but after signing into the printer queue on my Windows 10 PC, I could get round that.  However recently the printer has become disconnected from WiFi.  So things like the Print & Scan Doctor can't seem to help.  At first, I turned everything off (router and printer) and it connected.  However about an hour later (when the printer went into sleep mode) the WiFi dropped out again.  Since then I've not been able to find my network via the start up wizard.

I've powered off the router and the printer to no avail.  Everything else that is connected to the WiFi is working.  Any clues?  Is it knackered and needs replacing?  Any help greatly appreciated.

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

@Bram72

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

We are not aware about the Computer. However, please restore the network settings on the printer and connect it to the new Wi-Fi: 1. Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status menu. 2. Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless Settings menu. 3. Select Restore Defaults. 4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for your reply.  Apologies for the time its taken to come back to you.  I've been away.

No, unfortunately no connection still.  It did at least recognise my internet but after typing in the password, it came up with 'connection failed' with the message 'Cannot connect to network.  Press print to print report.  Press ok to continue.'

Any other thoughts?  I really appreciate your help on this.

Did you try the steps given?

Yes. I tried the steps before my last reply. It at least recognised the WiFi now but still no connection.
