HP Officejet Pro 8620, gets continued error message when I attempt to connect to HP and send a scanned document by e:mail:

The printer could not connect to the Internet, If your network does not use a proxy server, try turning the printer off and then on again. If your network uses a proxy server, touch Set Proxy, and then try again. If you are still unable to connect, contact your Internet service provider or your administrator.

I use this at my home and don't use a proxy server. In addition, have turned off and on multiple times without success and all other wireless functions work fine.

Hi @BJDavis723,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to connect to the internet.

Connect a printer with a touchscreen control panel

Use the printer control panel to connect your printer to your network.

Connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network (printers with a touchscreen)

Use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

  1. Place the printer near the network router.

  2. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer.

  3. From the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.

  4. Get the network name and password. Go to Find the wireless network password or PIN to connect an HP printer for more information.

  5. From the Setup, Network, or Wireless settings menu, select Wireless Setup Wizard.

  6. Select your network, and then enter the password.

  7.

NOTE: If the Wireless Setup Wizard is not listed, select Wi-Fi Protected Setup or WPS, select Push Button, and then follow the steps to connect to the network.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
