Hp9010 series error message 1 document waiting

If your HP 9010 series printer shows an error message indicating "1 document waiting" (or several documents) but doesn't print them, here are some steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check the Print Queue:

  • On your computer, open the Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP 9010 series printer and select See what's printing.
  • If documents are stuck, right-click on each and choose Cancel.

2. Restart the Print Spooler Service:

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Locate Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Restart. This can clear any stuck print jobs.

3. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it for about 5 minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear error states.

4. Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure you have the latest drivers installed. You can download them from the HP Support website.

5. Check for Errors on Printer:

  • Look at the printer's control panel for any error messages or warnings. Address any alerts it shows.

6. Re-add the Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your devices, then re-add it:
    • Go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select Remove device.
    • Then, add it back by selecting Add a printer.

7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This can diagnose and fix common printing issues.

8. Try Printing from Another Application:

  • Sometimes, the issue may be with the application you're printing from. Try printing a test page from a different program (like Notepad or Word).

9. Check Network Connection:

  • If your printer is networked, ensure it's properly connected to the network. Check Wi-Fi settings or Ethernet connections.
