So HP tells me that they are working on a firmware update to correct the Wi Fi issues with the 4155e printers. Does anyone else have issue with CenturyLink internet ..
My older printer, 7155 has no problems. 3 phone calls and lots of help from HP support, just no printer
Waiting for the update this week

@captainjohn2021, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
To assist you better, what happens when you connect the printer to the network?
Are you able to connect or do you get errors?
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your PC.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
You may use the WPS button to connect the printer. Restart the router and the printer.
Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document - Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
- This printer supports WPA/WPA2 encryption, check if the router is on the same encryption method. If using WEP or WPA-PSK+FT change it to WPA-PSK
You may also refer to - HP printer setup (Wi-Fi network) and HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

There is a printer FW update to fix the issue you are experiencing with the CenturyLink router.
You can find it on the Software and Drivers page for your printer: https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-4100e-all-in-one-series/2100187845/model...
Download and run this update utility, released July 6:
In order to apply this update, you will have to either temporarily connect the printer with a USB cable. OR connect the PC directly to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network (DIRECT-xy-HP Deskjet 4100..)
After the firmware update is applied successfully, it is now possible to connect the printer to the CenturyLink C4000 series router. If you had previously connected it may reconnect automatically, or you may need to reset the printer into Wi-Fi setup mode and use HP Smart to configure the wireless network settings.
