My HP 6055e was working fine, but now it only prints from my iPhone. The printer status is in the network but asleep. When I run the diagnostics, no issue is found. When I run Printer Test, it gives me a picture of the printer. When I try to print from my PC, it results in a message saying: Printer Failure: Something went wrong when trying to print. Please check your printer and try again. Help please

Hi @lguajard
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your printer is having trouble communicating with your PC, even though it works fine with your iPhone. Let’s troubleshoot this step by step to get everything back on track:
Restart Printer and PC:
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Restart your PC.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can help reset the connection.
Check Printer Status:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers on your PC.
- Right-click your HP ENVY 6055e and ensure it’s set as the Default Printer.
- If it shows as “Offline,” right-click and select Use Printer Online.
Reconnect Printer to WiFi:
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button until the light starts blinking.
- Use the HP Smart app on your PC to reconnect the printer to your WiFi network. Ensure it’s connected to the same network as your PC.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support page and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Install the drivers and restart your PC to apply the changes.
Clear Print Queue:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select See What’s Printing.
- Cancel all pending print jobs to clear the queue.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
- This utility can automatically detect and fix common printing issues.
Check Windows Firewall and Antivirus:
- Ensure your firewall or antivirus software isn’t blocking the printer connection.
- Add the printer as an exception if necessary.
Test Printing Again:
- Try printing a test page from your PC. If the issue persists, try printing from a different application to rule out software-specific problems.
