After a few short days, the printer refused to print an ordinary email document. I powered it OFF with the ON/OFF button bottom left, waited, and cannot get the power back up. I have changed locations, and cables, but it is dead. Obviously, no diagnostics or error messages. Nothing. Anyone encountered this? Mike  M

@MikeMurphy, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP 7605 printer is not powering up despite trying different locations and cables, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to diagnose and possibly resolve the issue:

Check the Power Source:

  • Ensure that the electrical outlet you are using is functioning correctly. You might want to test the outlet with another device to confirm it's working.

Examine the Power Cable:

  • Inspect the power cable for any visible damage, and ensure it is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer.
  • Wait approximately 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cable.
  • Attempt to power on the printer.

Use a Different Power Cable:

  • If possible, try using a compatible power cable from another device to rule out a faulty power cable as the cause of the issue.

Examine the Printer for Any Signs of Damage:

  • Check the printer for any physical damage or abnormalities that might have occurred.

Check for Loose Connections:

  • Ensure that all connections to the printer, including any that are internal, are secure.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
