Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

when i did the EWS setup on my new printer i did change the admin username and password, and under that i saw this option that i thought was to protect the IP for the printer.

So i did copy and paste the printer IP in there and now im locked out, and when i try to login it says "Login IP Address is Protected".

ive spent my whole day trying to fix this without any luck.

so does anyone have a solution to my problem?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting "Login IP Address is Protected" messages, I am glad to assist you.

Follow these steps to fix the issue.

You should connect the USB cable, then be sure to select the USB Device from the Devices pane on the side, then you may access the Network Settings and click on Clear Settings.

The error you describe is given due to accessing it from the software for the wireless device, not the USB one.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Keep me posted.

Cheers.

ive tried that, and Hp does not have support for my HP Color Laser 150nw anymore.

i only get "This product is no longer serviced by HP. You may search for possible solutions on this support website."

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi,

I would also add, make sure you use admin as the username (all lower-case) among your selected password.

If it still fails, also try using the PIN Code as described below:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Knowledge-Base/HP-Laser-Printers-locate-EWS-Administrator-Pas...

May that work and allow logging into the EWS page?
