Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had my machine running for a year, then a month ago the wireless gave hassles along with the driver and I uninstalled and reinstalled but worked with the machine with a USB connection. The 2 days ago errors come up when printing and it will not print. The printer wakes up when you press print but it does not print, it say it cannot connect. Tried a different USB port, tried a different cable. Uninstalled the driver then reinstalled, and the printer is not recognised by the machine - as if its not plugged in. Tried to installed the printer on a different computer and same problem. Has the inside of this machine packed up or is this software ? It still copies fine, it just will not connect to the PC.  Any help much appreciated as I am about to throw it out and get something else.

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

So HP have given me a reset code which I used and which did reset the machine but this did not resolve this problem. I have taken it to a HP accredited workshop to see if they can repair this, its sadly out of warranty by a month so I had to pay them 10% of what the machine cost to buy. If they dont come right I am just going to have to buy a new one but will not be buying HP again, as to me a machine needs to last longer than 13 months if its only used occasionally.

I have taken this machine to an HP service centre and it turns out the "formatter" has packed up and I need a new one. The repairs are going to cost 50% of what the machine cost to buy a year ago. I just need to work out if this is worth fixing as I could have to spend more money in a years time if these new machines only last that long.

The HP service centre says the formatter has packed up and its going to need a new one.  I have had my older HP printer for over 20 years and its never given a days trouble. This one lasted a year. Your company obviously don't make stuff to last anymore, which is really bad for the environment as we just have to throw this stuff on the rubbish dump.

We shall escalate this case.
