Hi @CN8AI771K806PR ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand  a custom password has been set for your HP DeskJet 2676 or HP DeskJet 2600 series printer and you don't know it, there are a few steps you can try to regain access to the printer's web interface:

1. Check the Printer Documentation

If someone else set the password (like a network administrator), they might have written it down in the printer's documentation or settings. Review any paperwork or instructions that came with the printer.

2. Reset the Printer's Network Settings

If you can't retrieve the password, you may need to reset the printer's network settings to return the printer to its default settings. Here’s how to do that:

On the Printer's Control Panel:

  • Ensure the printer is powered on.
  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button (the X button) at the same time.
  • Hold for 3-5 seconds until the power light blinks and the wireless light starts blinking rapidly.
  • The printer will reset its network settings, including any custom password you set.

Reconnect the Printer to Your Network:

  • After the reset, the printer will revert to the default settings.
  • Follow the instructions for setting up the printer again, either via the HP Smart app or directly on the printer’s control panel, to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

3. Access the Printer's Web Interface:

Once the printer is connected to the network, you should be able to access the printer's web interface through a browser by entering the printer's IP address in the address bar. You can find the printer's IP address on the printer's control panel or print a network configuration page from the printer.

  • To print the network configuration page:
    1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the wireless light blinks.
    2. Then, press the Information button (usually a small 'i' icon) to print the page, which will include the IP address.

4. Default Password

If the password has been reset to default, it may be something simple like "admin" or blank. You can try common default passwords, but if none work, you'll need to reset the printer's settings as described above.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for help, but i tried everything you said but it didn't work. Then i did these steps which helped me.

Procedure:

 * Disconnect Power: Unplug the printer from the power outlet.

 * Simultaneous Button Press: While the printer is unplugged, press and hold both the "Cancel" and "Resume" buttons.

 * Reconnect Power: While still holding the buttons, plug the printer back into the power outlet.

 * Maintain Button Press: Continue holding the buttons for 15 seconds.

 * Release and Check: After 15 seconds, release both buttons. The printer should now be reset.
