I have an HP DeskJet 4155e and recently moved. I am unable to connect my printer to my new WiFi network as my router does not have a WPS button. I can connect directly to the printer using WiFi Direct, but am unsure how to connect my printer to my home WiFi network. Please advise.

Hi @jahlstra,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to connect your HP DeskJet 4155e to your WiFi network without a WPS button, follow these steps:
Connect to the Printer’s WiFi Direct Network:
- On your computer or mobile device, go to the WiFi settings and connect to the printer’s WiFi Direct network. The network name usually starts with "HP-Print" followed by the model number.
Open the HP Smart App:
- Download and install the HP Smart app if you haven't already. It's available for both Windows and macOS, and also for mobile devices on iOS and Android.
Add Your Printer:
- Open the HP Smart app and select the option to add a printer. The app should detect your printer on the WiFi Direct network.
Set Up the Printer on Your WiFi Network:
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the HP Smart app to connect the printer to your WiFi network. You will need to enter your network name (SSID) and password.
Reconnect to Your Home WiFi Network:
- Once the printer is connected to your WiFi network, your computer or mobile device should automatically reconnect to your home WiFi network.
Verify the Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your devices by printing a network configuration page. You can usually do this from the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app.
