HP ENVY 5540 All-in-One Printer

I was trying to use the "Printables" section provided on the printer screen and was given a connection error:

 

"Connection Error:

 

The printer could not connect to the server.

Check the internet connection or the proxy setting."

 

The printer is connected to Wi-Fi and prints documents sent from my phone with no issues. I've tried restarting the printer and my Wi-Fi and the proxy settings are set to "off."

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the HP User Community.

 

I've never used Printables from a printer screen.

I would guess the website is refusing to connect to the printer.

 

Idea:

Get your "Printables" from the Printables Website.

The feature can be opened from within HP Smart or from your favorite browser.

 

Two ways to try “HP Printables” (Replacement for Print Apps)

 

Open HP Smart Windows or HP Smart Mobile application

Click on the tile for Printables

 

OR

Open your browser and open the HP Printables Website

 

Select your category

Select / Click on a project for adults, children, learning, fun...

See what is available...

Print your choice...
