Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Envy e-All-in-One printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer was working on my wifi network but now fails to connect.

The Wireless Network Test Results  blames MAC filtering but my router is set to Allow All and when I do set it to specifically allow my printer's MAC address it still won't connect -- same error.

I have tried resetting my router --- same error.

If I turn off all security it connects but as soon as I turn on WPA again... no connection.

Any other ideas anyone?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues connecting your printer wirelessly.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Have you tried connecting the printer using a different router? (If available)

Meanwhile, I recommend you run the HP print and scan doctor and it will automatically find and fix the wireless issues.

Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from this Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue.  If no issue found close PSDR.

Also, try using the HP Smart App and let me know if that helps. Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hp-smart/9wzdncrfhwlh

You can refer to this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03561640 for more information on HP Smart App

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thanks for your reply.

I do not have another router to try.  This is the router/modem from my ISP.

Print and Scan Doctor finds no problems.  The printer works fine if connected by cable.

HP Smart of course can't print as the printer is not on the network....

Next....?

1.) Are the printer and computer connected to the same network?

2.) Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? If yes, make sure the dual-band has different SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G networks.

3.) What is the distance between the router and the printer?

Cheers!

the problem is that the printer can't even connect to the network... Report blames MAC filtering but MAC filtering is NOT on and even if I set it to specifically accept the printer's MAC it still fails to connect.

The printer is on the same shelf as the router so distance is not a factor.

Do you have any Anti Virus programs on the computer?

Cheers!

Just Defender and Malwarebytes.

The problem is not the connection with my computer but the connection to the network.

If I turn off WPA it connects to the network but with WPA on I get the MAC filtering problem/message.  Filtering is NOT on....?

I recommend you create a new user account on the computer following the steps in the below article and then install the printer on the new user account and test.

Thanks for your responses but you are missing the point...

The printer will not connect to my wifi network.

Opens the Wireless Summary menu, where you can check wireless status and change wireless settings. You can also print a wireless test report, helping diagnose network connection issues.

Cheers!
