After changing the IPS provider/Router for my network, both my computer and my printer are reporting connection with the internet via my running each device's own reports. However, I cannot print from the OfficeJet Pro 8720 unless I send the doc via EPrint to the printer's email address. Both devices are connected to the network by "Wireless" means. Both devices print out reports stating good connections with all the data as they should be. I do have a Windows 11 operating system which worked great with this printer until the change-over 3 days ago. HP Print and Scan Doctor cannot make a connection with the printer. HP Smart Website says that the printer is "disconnected from Internet".
So, long story short, what do I need to do to fix this situation?? One thing I did notice which may be a problem lies. It is that on my computer (in printer status) this printer is now showing up with this designation/name: HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 PLC-3 (network). In the past, this same printer showed up with a different designation/name: Direct-1A-HP OfficeJet Pro 8720, and this name still shows up on my cell phone (as network) and is displayed on the printer's screen as WiFI Direct. Note: the new name/designation does NOT show up in the printer's reporting, nor does it show up in my cell phone. Is this some software glitch, or what?? Please let me know how I can resolve this and get back to being able to simply print what I need to be printing. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
