Hi @ESAdams7,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus is having trouble connecting to the new Inseego MiFi, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check MiFi Signal:

  • Ensure that the MiFi device has a strong signal and is functioning properly. You can test this by connecting another device (like a smartphone or laptop) to the MiFi.

Verify Password:

  • Double-check the Wi-Fi password for the MiFi. Make sure you're entering it correctly, including any uppercase letters and special characters.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel.
  • Navigate to Setup > Network > Restore Network Settings. This will reset any previous network configurations.

Use the Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • From the printer’s control panel, go to Network > Wireless Setup Wizard and try connecting to your MiFi again. Follow the prompts to select your MiFi and enter the password.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates on the HP website or through the printer's control panel under Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.

Reduce Network Congestion:

  • If there are many devices connected to the MiFi, try disconnecting some devices to see if that helps with the connection.

Check Wireless Settings on the MiFi:

  • Log into the MiFi settings (usually accessible via a web browser) and ensure that the Wi-Fi is enabled, and check if there are any MAC address filtering settings that might block the printer.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both the printer and the MiFi device. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connection issues.

Factory Reset MiFi (Last Resort):

  • If all else fails, consider doing a factory reset on the MiFi. This will reset all settings, including the password, so you will need to reconfigure it afterward.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
