I'm sorry if this comes across as crass, but I am at my wit's end...

About a month or so ago, we had to get a new wireless router installed. Since then my HP Photosmart 5520 has not been able to connect to the wi-fi & I cannot print anything. I can't even try a wired connection as we no longer have any of the hook-ups. I have tried power-cycling both the router & printer, I have tried resetting the router, & I have gone into the router settings to get the MAC address recognized (as per the printed report).  None of this has worked, what else do I do?

To reconfigure the printer, follow the steps from the document HP Printers - No Connection after Router or Wi-Fi Settings Change.

Additionally, refer to the document Connect to a Wireless HP Printer for help.

If you still have issues, use the guided troubleshooter Troubleshooting | Wireless Printing Center for instruction to isolate and resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Unfortunately, it still didn't help. I keep getting the same message about the MAC address even though I supposedly fixed it.

I'd further suggest you contact your ISP and ask them to add the printer's mac address to the exception list.

This should work. Keep me posted.

Okay, the printer gives the message that it's connected. However, when I try to print,  I get a message that the printer is in an "Error" state. At the ISP's suggestion,  I re-downloaded & installed the software, but keep getting the same message.

What's the error in question?

Nevermind, I had the wrong default Printer it prints now.
