I've seen quite a few other conversations regarding this where the Smart Tank 5102 does not connect to the WiFi. I got it to print something twice, but then it disconnects.
Could this be a manufacturer defect???
Does this printer come with a warranty? I have already spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME troubleshooting, and frankly, ready to through this pile of plastic into the recycling bin..
I would love to see a real response to these questions- not a canned response, like I have already seen.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The HP Smart Tank 5102 is designed to offer reliable performance, but as you’ve described, problems can occasionally arise with connecting to WiFi.
Potential Causes and Solutions:
Router Settings:
- Ensure your router is broadcasting on a compatible frequency (2.4GHz) and that it's set to a suitable channel.
Firmware Updates:
- Check for firmware updates for both the printer and the router. Updated firmware can resolve connectivity issues.
Network Configuration:
- Verify that your network’s security settings (such as encryption type) are supported by the printer.
- Reconfigure your network name (SSID) and password, ensuring there are no special characters that might cause connection issues.
HP Smart App:
- Use the HP Smart app for setup, which may provide detailed troubleshooting steps and updates.
Restart Devices:
- Sometimes, restarting your printer, computer, and router may resolve intermittent connectivity issues.
