HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn Printer

I have the above printer.  I plugged it into the network.  DHCP was enabled.  I changed the IP Configured to 'Manual' and changed the IP address to the network IP address assigned for the printer, using the Embedded Web Serivce.  I did not change the Subnet or Gateway (unfortunately).  After the change, I still couldn't print on the printer, so I performed the factory reset.  This changed the IP address to 0.0.0.0 and IP configured by 'Manual' still.  Now, I cannot communicate with the printer through the EWS, which seems to be the only method of changing the IP address manually.  I can communicate and print through the USB connection, but cannot change the IP address manually.  Any ideas?

Try using a crossover network cable and connect the printer directly to a computer maybe the printer will get a working IP address from a computer.
