new HP9125e printer successfully connected to network. My HP Desktop, HP Laptop, and my IPhone do not find my new printer when searching for available printers. My wife has printed on the 9125e from her non-HP devices. I installed the HP Smart App, watched the video and followed the steps presented. Reset and repeated installation steps three times without success. What might I have done improperly on my Printer settings, or on my other Devices?

Hi @MITCH-AZ, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since your wife's non-HP devices can print to the HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e, but your HP desktop, laptop, and iPhone cannot, the issue is likely related to how your devices are detecting network printers rather than a problem with the printer itself. Here are some troubleshooting steps:
Confirm Network Connection on Your Devices
- Make sure all your devices (desktop, laptop, and iPhone) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- If your router has multiple frequency bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz), try connecting all devices to the same band.
Verify Printer’s Network Connection
- Print a Network Configuration Report from the printer’s settings to confirm its IP address and connection status.
- Check if AirPrint is enabled (for iPhone printing).
Add Printer Manually Using IP Address
Since automatic discovery isn’t working, manually adding the printer might help.
For Windows (HP Desktop & Laptop)
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Click Add a Printer.
- Select The printer I want isn’t listed.
- Choose Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname.
- Enter the printer's IP address (from the Network Configuration Report).
- Select the driver (HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e) if prompted.
For iPhone (Using AirPrint)
- Open Settings > Wi-Fi and make sure your iPhone is on the same network.
- Open Safari, type the printer’s IP address, and hit enter.
- If the printer’s web page opens, AirPrint is available.
- Go to Settings > General > AirPrint (if available) and see if the printer is listed.
- Try printing via Safari, Notes, or Mail.
Disable VPN or Firewall
- If your HP devices use VPN or firewall software, they might be blocking discovery.
- Temporarily disable VPN or firewall and try again.
Reset Printer’s Network Settings
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings.
- Reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi and retry adding it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
