I appreciate your help. However, the WIFI Direct password is not on the info page. And holding the buttons as suggested doesn't work. One button will not light up and then the printer just prints another Information page.

Could you take a picture and show what's on the Info page? 

 

It's strange that we have the WiFi direct info by pressing the "i" information button (even though it's not lit up).

The PIN IS NOT the WiFI Direct password.

 

We know you you tried but tried these steps again:

1. Press"i" (information) button for 5 seconds until all the buttons are lit, then press the "i" (information) button) and "Resume" button (down arrow) at the same time and release.

 

2. WiFi Direct info page will be printed.  The WiFi Direct info can be found under "iOS, macOS and Microsoft Windows" heading.

I understand the PIN is not the WIFI Direct password.

 

I tried the steps you sent. I pressed the i button for 5 seconds. All buttons are not lit. In fact, the only button that lights up is the X and the printer is already printed another Printer Information Report. I have not seen the down arrow Resume button light up at all.

Think we're missing something here.   As seen in the page below, the Printer Information Report clearly shows the WiFi Direct information.

 

Could you just press the "i" button to get this page printed?

I am very aware of that. I've tried it many times. No matter what I do not all buttons are lit. The down arrow will not light up at all.hp-printer-problem.jpg

Hi Chuck,

 

The wireless is turned off,  Please turn on the wireless by pressing the wireless button (located at the back of the printer just below the Power button).

 

Press once to turn on the wireless and print the Information page to get the WiFi Direct password.

Here's what I've got. I did get the WIFI Quick Start Guide. However, as you can see, using the HP Smart App won't let me add a new printer.
