HP Smart Tank 7001 All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have this printer for the second time in 3 mos. The first one just quit printing. I Chatted with HP and the tech took me through a lot of test and tweaking and finally told me that the Icon board had gone bad. Hp replaced the printer with the same printer HP Smart Tank 7001All-in-one. at the time I had baely had the printer 2 months. the icon Panel stays lit 24-7 and can`t be turned off so I contacted tech support and they told me that it goes dim after a short period of inactivity but never goes completely off.  but it don`t use much power at all. So, this expensive printer`s icon board stays lit 27-7 for 6 weeks and i feel that that is why it burnt out. I just set the second one up today and it has a 2 year warranty. If it goes out in another short period of time, I will change brands. so does anyone know how to get in this printer and set it to turn off after a period of inactivity?
