My printer is listed in HP Smart,  Status is green.

When I try to print it takes me to login screen , when I click login it takes me back to home page..In a loop

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting HP Smart issue, I am glad to assist you.

Update the HP smart app

  • If the issue still persists, uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app
  • Please delete from /Users/Username/Library/Application Support/HP Smart. 
  • Then delete HP Smart from the Applications folder and reinstall it from the Mac App Store.
  • Here are the steps to install the HP Smart app:- Click here
