If your HP printer isn't printing wirelessly from your Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ running Windows 11, here are the steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
1. Check Wi-Fi Connection
- Make sure both your Surface Pro and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- On the printer, tap the Wi-Fi icon to confirm it's connected.
2. Remove and Re-add the Printer
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Remove the HP printer if it’s listed.
- Click Add a printer or scanner and wait for Windows to detect it.
- If it doesn’t appear, click “The printer that I want isn’t listed” and follow the prompts to add it manually using its IP address.
3. Install HP Smart App
- Download from the Microsoft Store:
👉 HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store - Open the app and click “Set up a new printer”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect wirelessly.
4. Set as Default Printer
- In Printers & scanners, click your HP printer > Manage > Set as default.
