Printer email address is not a printing device in the way that printing hardware is a device.

Printer email address is a means of using email to send print jobs to your printer via web services (the connection of your printer to the Internet).

Windows is not directly aware of the printer email address - the printer email is not visible to the Operating System (except through other controlling software).

Software that you use on the computer can accept and make use of the printer email address to send a print job.

For example,

The ePrint action is similar to using Scan to Email to send to any email recipient.

In the case of ePrint, the "recipient" is your printer via that printer email address and the HP servers that package and send the job content to the printer.

I hope that makes sense.
