HP DeskJet 4122e All-in-One Printer

Hi,

I am trying to use my new HP Deskjet 4122e but it says that is unavailable after instaling everything ast it says in the book and online.

I managed to instal it connect it to my wifi but after that it says in the app that is unavailable.

I managed to restore the connection a few times but still unavailable.

Can someone help me here as i bought it to use it not to look at it.

P.S the outside of the printer says 4122e and inside says 4100e... witch one is real, sticker or front of printer?

It sounds like you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP Deskjet 4122e printer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

 

Double-Check Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. You might want to go through the setup process again to make sure the connection is established correctly.

Restart Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router.
  • After the router has fully restarted, plug in your printer and turn it back on.
  • Check if the connection is restored.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware might resolve compatibility issues.

Check for Interference:

  • Make sure there are no physical obstructions or interference that could affect the wireless signal between your printer and the router.

Static IP Address:

  • Assign a static IP address to your printer. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues. Refer to your printer's manual or HP support for guidance on how to set a static IP.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Check your computer's firewall or antivirus settings to ensure they are not blocking the communication with the printer.

 

Regarding the model number discrepancy (4122e on the outside and 4100e inside), it's not uncommon for the external label or sticker to display a marketing name or number, while the internal components might be associated with a different model number.
