Hi @kattttt,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I believe it's prompting for the printers Wi-Fi direct password, the Wi-Fi direct password should be available on the Wi-Fi direct summary.
Let's try these steps:
1.) From the Home screen on the printer display, select Wi-Fi direct icon.
2.) Press the button next to Display Password to display the wireless direct password.
We can also connect the printer to your home wireless network and then use AirPrint or HP Smart App to print.
Here is how to do it:
1.) From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon .
2.) Touch the Setup icon .
3.) Touch Wireless Setup Wizard and then follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your home WiFi.
Once the printer is connected, use the instructions on the links below to print using AirPrint or HP Smart App:
Apple Airprint, Click here
Hp smart App, Click here
Let me know how it goes!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for getting back to me. So I did what you said….entered the password on the printer screen. It did take the password. Tried to print and it said no air printer found. Went to reset printing wizard and everything said it went okay. Went to try to print again and still saying no AirPrint found. I go into my settings on my iPad and WiFi internet is up and running, no problem. But then if I click on my printer in WiFi settings, it has a check mark next to it but then it says no internet connection.🤷♀️ so confused as I had no problem in the past printing
