Hi. I have recently moved from the UK to India. I have a HP Envy 5010 printer bought in the UK, now want to use it in India. I have purchased HP 803 ink here which is the Indian version of 304 ink I used to use in the UK. But the 803 is not compatible with my printer. So I require a region reset.
I called HP earlier to request this: they told me a region reset was not possible from UK to India. I am not sure why they said this given the size of HP as a company and the fact that travel between the UK and India is extremely common.
Please can someone help me reset the region on my printer so that I can continue using my product using HP ink purchased in India. Thanks.

Hi @stupidprinter12,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand you moved and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.
We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
Note: Not all the printers may not work when you change the region reset or it may not happen.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
