LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

It appers that my printer suddenly can't locate the wi-fi network. The configurations print informs that the wi-fi is on and works but the report states that the printer can't find the wireless router. The printer is connected to a google nest wi-fi router so there is no WPS button to push.

I normally can print from PC and iphone without any probems.

Hi @Mikiie1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw is having trouble connecting to your Google Nest Wi-Fi router.

Since the router doesn't have a WPS button, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Manually Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • On your printer, navigate to the Wireless Menu and select Network Setup.
  • Choose Wireless Settings and manually enter your network name (SSID) and password.

Check Router Settings:

  • Log in to your router's admin panel (usually accessible via 192.168.1.1 in a browser).
  • Ensure the 2.4 GHz band is enabled, as HP printers typically don't support 5 GHz networks.
  • Assign a unique name (SSID) to the 2.4 GHz band to make it easier to connect.

Reset Printer Network Settings:

  • On the printer, go to Network Setup > Restore Network Defaults. This will clear any saved network settings and allow you to start fresh.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Download the HP Smart app on your PC or mobile device.
  • Follow the app's instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website to check for any firmware updates for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve connectivity issues.

Test with a Different Network:

  • If possible, try connecting the printer to a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue is specific to your router.
