Hi @Printerissues39 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
To connect your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w printer to a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:
-
Prepare for Setup:
- Ensure your printer is turned on.
- Make sure your computer or mobile device is connected to the new Wi-Fi network that you want the printer to connect to.
-
Reset Printer Network Settings (if needed):
- If the printer was previously connected to a different Wi-Fi network, you might need to reset its network settings. To do this, find the "Restore Network Settings" option in the printer's menu or refer to the printer's manual for specific instructions. Click here - page 60-chapter 8
-
Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- On your computer or mobile device, go to the Wi-Fi settings and look for the network named similarly to your HP printer.
- Connect your device to this Wi-Fi network. You might be prompted for a password, which is usually the WPS PIN on a label on the printer or found in the printer's documentation.
-
Access Printer Settings:
- Once connected to the printer's Wi-Fi network, open a web browser on your device.
- Enter the printer's IP address into the browser's address bar. You can find this IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer.
- Access the printer's embedded web server. This interface will allow you to configure the printer's settings.
-
Change Wi-Fi Settings:
- Within the printer's settings accessed through the web browser, look for the Wi-Fi setup or network settings option.
- Select the "Wireless Setup Wizard" or a similar option to search for and connect to the new Wi-Fi network.
- Follow the prompts on the screen to enter the new Wi-Fi network's name (SSID) and password.
-
Complete Setup:
- After entering the Wi-Fi network details, the printer will attempt to connect to the new network.
- Once connected successfully, disconnect from the printer's Wi-Fi network on your computer or mobile device and reconnect to your regular Wi-Fi network.
-
Test the Connection:
- Print a test page from your computer or mobile device to confirm that the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network and functioning properly.
If you encounter any issues during this process, This might require one-on-one interaction to fix the issue via remote assistance.
