Print a Wireless test page:
-
From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Wireless icon
or Ethernet icon
to display the network status screen.
-
Touch Print Details to print the network configuration page.
-
Alternatively, from the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon
.
-
Swipe up on the display, and then touch Reports.
-
Touch Network Configuration Page.
A Network Configuration Page prints up to two pages of information.
-
Check if the Wireless radio is ON/pass/connected.
On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings
Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.
Note: Wireless radio will not work if an ethernet cable is connected to the printer. Kindly disconnect it.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

My Officejet Pro 8600 has gone offline and will not reconnect to my router. It has worked fine in the past, but multiple attempts to reconnect have failed. All my other devices are connected. I’ve been through the virtual assistant which was no help.
Any suggestions on how to resolve?

Unfortunately, that didn't work. The printer seems to think that it should be connected to an ethernet cable - but it has never been connected to an ethernet cable. I'm at a loss. Thanks for any additional help you can provide.

Let us perform a reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Let me know how it goes.
