@LarryFanale, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
We understand that you are facing issues with your HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer. Let's get your Printer printing again! Here are the steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Basic Setup
- Power: Ensure the printer is powered ON (light should be solid, not blinking).
- Connection: Check if the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, USB, or Wi-Fi Direct.
- If on Wi-Fi, ensure it's connected to the same network as your PC.
- Paper & Ink:
- Ensure paper is loaded correctly.
- Check ink cartridges for low or empty levels.
Run a Printer Self-Test
- On the printer, press and hold the Cancel (X) and Color Copy buttons together for about 5 seconds. This should print a diagnostic page.
- ✅ If it prints: The issue is with the connection or software.
- ❌ If it doesn't: There may be a hardware or cartridge issue.
Restart Devices
- Power off the printer, computer, and router.
- Wait for 1 minute.
- Turn them all back on and retry printing.
Reinstall the Printer on Your Computer
For Windows:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Remove the HP 4155e.
- Download and install the HP Smart App (if not already installed).
- Add the printer through HP Smart.
For macOS:
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Remove and re-add the printer using the "+" button.
- Make sure to install HP Smart for full features.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only)
Download from here: HP Print and Scan Doctor. This will automatically detect and fix most issues.
Check Wireless Signal
- Move the printer closer to the router.
- Check that Wi-Fi is stable.
- Avoid connecting to guest networks.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
