I have exactly the same issue. This has got to be a problem at the HP Web Services server. Come on HP anyone with an ounce of IT Maintenance knowledge can see that ALL these printers having the same issue at the same time has got to be due to the one thing in common...your server!

@DrewMeldrew

There's clearly something with web services, hopefully somebody will notice the pattern and reassure the users about the necessary fixes, but up to now it has only been standard troubleshooting procedures. I tried to send a feedback from the HPsmart app and just got an automatic reply. It seems like there's no way to directly get in contact with the team behind the app, and that sucks.

Cannot refresh printer.

I reached out for this tech support you speak of twice...and twice they walked me thru every step everyone is talking about here. July 2nd and again July 23rd when I realized it had quit working for the 3rd time. I do not have the time of patience to sit on the phone every time this stops working. I do agree this is a HP problem and needs fixing "by them". If everybody here has been calling, then no wonder we all have to sit on the phone for what feels like forever. 2.5 hrs the first time and 2 hrs the 2nd time grrrrr

Another problem with Web Services not working is Instant Ink can't properly read your ink levels. I am right now almost out of black ink...when I called them to see why I had not received my ink, I was told they were connected to my printer and the reading say all is fine. Well it wasn't/isn't fine I told them so they manually looked and agreed with me and put ink in the mail that day. He told me I was actually down to 20%, which gives that faded look. Your printer will tell you your levels but Instant Ink can't read them automatically if your Web Service is down. Like I said before, 3rd time for me this month

Hello to all.

Same problem as the one posted here. Impossible to scan to email from the printer itself, it only works if I reset the printer to factory settings but it gives error again later (I don't know after how long).

The solutions proposed by HP do not work.

Previously it worked without problems until a month ago, it is clear that HP has a problem with the servers or communications.

We need a solution now!

It is solved by accessing the printer's web configuration, deleting the web services and reconnecting them. But if you turn the printer off, when you turn it back on, the error occurs again.

HP seems to have fixed the problem, yes? Mine has been working for about 2 weeks now! If so, thank you HP, although it should have never happened in the first place.

Well mine still isnt working and turning web services off then back on again is BS. I get a new email for my printer every time and then I have to go personalize it, to keep my old printer email address. Of course since my web services arent working then my Instant Ink isn't/can't be read.

I don't even have to turn my printer off... I use maybe 2 or 3 times then we are right back to WebService error
